Coir Fibre Bales offer a robust and sustainable solution for various industrial applications, providing reliable performance while supporting environmental responsibility.
Whether enhancing soil conditions, managing erosion, or contributing to manufacturing processes, these bales are designed to meet diverse industrial needs with natural efficiency — used as a core material in mattresses, in erosion-control mats and blankets, in automotive interior cushioning, and as a natural filtration medium in drainage systems.
Bales are pressed to a customisable weight for freight efficiency, with moisture and colour consistency checked at every stage from our mill in Chilaw.
Why It Works
Made from renewable coconut husks, coir fibre is a sustainable and biodegradable alternative to synthetic materials.
Strong and resilient, coir fibre is designed to withstand heavy use and harsh conditions, making it ideal for industrial applications.
Suitable for a variety of uses, including bedding, insulation, and erosion control, coir fibre adapts to different needs with ease.
Provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, helping to improve energy efficiency in various applications.
Naturally resistant to water without degradation and microbial growth, coir fibre maintains its integrity in moist conditions.
Good to Know
A natural blend of the husk's output, typically 5–20 cm — mixed, mattress, or OMAT grade. Bale weight can be customised between 125–150 kg.
Economy. If your process — insulation, rubberised coir, drainage filtration, bedding — does not demand a single grade, mixed bales deliver the same clean Sri Lankan coir at the best price per tonne.
Every batch is checked for moisture content (kept under 18%) and colour consistency before pressing into bales.
Full container loads — around 9–10 tonnes in a 20 ft container, or 21 tonnes in a 40 ft high cube. Mixed containers with our other fiber products are common.
