Our coco bricks come in three sizes: the 650g Coco Peat Brick, the 550g Mixed Brick, and the 500g Coco Chips Brick.

Our 650g Brick is an eco-friendly and versatile growing medium, perfect for a wide range of gardening applications. Made from 100% natural coconut husks, this compact brick expands to provide a neutral and well-aerated base for plants. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, coco peat is renowned for its excellent water retention and root support, ensuring healthy and vibrant plant growth.

Every brick is produced at our facility in Chilaw from husks sourced through our own plantation network, screened to a consistent particle size and sun-dried before pressing for a clean, even expansion. Because bricks are compact and lightweight, they dramatically cut freight and warehousing costs compared with loose media — a favourite for retail garden brands, seed-starting kits, and e-commerce growing bundles.

Why It Works

Benefits of Coco Bricks

Water Retention

Coco peat can hold up to 8 times its weight in water, providing a consistent moisture supply to plants and reducing the frequency of watering.

Improved Aeration

The fibrous structure of coco peat ensures optimal aeration for plant roots, preventing soil compaction and promoting healthy root development.

Sustainable & Renewable

Made from the by-products of coconut processing, coco peat is a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional peat moss.

pH Neutral

Coco peat has a neutral pH, making it suitable for a wide variety of plants without the need for additional soil amendments.

Reusable

Coco peat is durable, allowing it to be reused multiple times before needing replacement.

Coco Bricks — FAQs

How do I use a coco brick?

Place the brick in a large container, add 3–4 litres of water, and let it absorb for 15–30 minutes. Fluff the expanded peat with your hands or a fork, and it is ready to use on its own or blended with compost and perlite.

Are the bricks washed or unwashed?

We supply both. Washed bricks are rinsed to an EC below 0.5 mS/cm and suit direct growing. Unwashed bricks cost less and suit applications where salinity is not critical. Buffered bricks are available to order for salt-sensitive crops.

How long can coco bricks be stored?

Kept dry and out of direct sunlight, compressed bricks store for years without degrading — one reason they are so popular with retailers and home growers.

Can you private-label bricks for retail?

Yes. We offer custom shrink-wrap sleeves and carton branding with your artwork, subject to minimum order quantities.
